Have you tried checking the box to override the scaling mode for games and application settings in Nvidia control? https://prnt.sc/wo6gbK_W1PF6

Are your display drivers up to date? Did you recently update Windows files? There can be many reasons, sometimes gpu driver corruption. I would try to use DDU uninstaller and install the newest drivers. See if that helps. I tried a fresh driver using DDU and I had installed fresh copy of windows and the problem still persists and usually happens after a game crash (Apex Legends, only on Storm Point map) I get a hung-up device error and when I check after the Nvidia control panel I find it changed the scaling to GPUAre your display drivers up to date? Ok so this is new information, device hung error. Did this actually start after a newer driver installation? Check to make sure your DirectX is up to date. You may want to try going back a couple of Nvidia drivers and install there. I would start from 472.12 that is the last Game Ready driver I believe, before theY screwed around and included DCH in all of them. If it does help then you can go up the line of drivers until you find the drivers that caused the problems if you want to go that route.I tried a fresh driver using DDU and I had installed fresh copy of windows and the problem still persists and usually happens after a game crash (Apex Legends, only on Storm Point map) I get a hung-up device error and when I check after the Nvidia control panel I find it changed the scaling to GPU
